The ability to move fast just may be the single most important success factor in the age of Amazon.

Moving fast indicates a company has its act together, has motivated and capable team members that communicate effectively, and makes progress building, releasing, testing and iterating.

Most of the companies selling products or services online move slow. Others move really slow. Those companies fundamentally cannot remain or become relevant.

If you're a retailer or brand, you need to be able to move fast. Sure, you'll make mistakes; but moving fast means you can quickly correct those mistakes, learn from them and get better.

Add that sales channel you've been planning to selling on.

Launch that brand you've been planning to launch.

Expand your fulfillment capabilities to reach customers on new channels.

The pace of innovation and disruption is accelerating. Companies that move fast are busy innovating and disrupting, while the companies that move slow are busy being out-innovated and disrupted.

Fast as you know it may not be fast enough. Move faster.
