Summer savings extravaganzas like Amazon Prime Day, Walmart + Week and Circle Days at Target put lots of opportunity on the table for multichannel sellers if they know how to harness the power of their listing data to get more eyeballs and sales. In this article we break down the number one way to increase product visibility for Amazon, Walmart and Target marketplaces which should be your strategy every day of the year, not just during “prime” season!

Key Dates for July:

Amazon Prime Days July 11-12, 2023

Walmart + Week July 11-13, 2023

Circle Days at Target July 9-15, 2023

Not only are these events a great way to capture sales on your best selling products - but a great opportunity to position overstocks, and make room for new product sales you want to capture this fall and holiday season.

What’s the number one thing you can do to improve product visibility?

Amazon Sellers

Make sure you’re following the new required attributes that go into effect July 5, 2023! Starting July 05, 2023, Amazon will require 25 attributes across 52 product types in listings templates. This change will improve the customer buying experience by making the product attribute information available within Amazon's catalog. Sellers must enter attribute information for the identified product types when creating ASINs. These changes impact the Amazon US marketplace. Which attributes? Check out this link.

Added bonus: Get a free subscription to SmartScout and look up your quality score which will be between 1-10 (1 being the worst). Chances are if you’re low, you’re missing attributes that are either recommended or required.  Zentail just completed this change in our product so Zentail can take advantage of the new required attributes to gain better placement on Amazon.

Walmart Sellers

Pay attention to your Listing Quality Scores.  Go to Seller Central to view your listing quality score.  Chances are if your quality score is low you can improve your listing by ensuring your attributes are compliant.  Product titles for example must have certain character counts as should descriptions (and they vary by category).  In addition, Walmart has attributes that are required and recommended…a bit of attention here can do wonders to improve your product listings. Using SMART Types, Zentail makes these issues visible to sellers all in one place so you don’t need to visit each marketplace portal to check your scores - you see it all in Zentail.

Target Plus Sellers

While Target doesn’t give you visibility to your exact quality score - you should review your attributes for key product listings and make sure they’re complete.  Character count matters when it comes to product titles and descriptions - which, like Walmart - vary based on product category.  Making a few simple tweeks and catching those attributes that may have been missed can make a big difference in your product listings.
