If you're selling competitive products on Walmart Marketplace, you may be scratching your head trying to figure out how to win sales consistently and avoid having your listings unpublished for uncompetitive pricing.

We're excited to announce the launch of our dynamic repricer for Walmart! We worked closely with Walmart's engineering team to understand the conditions that lead to buy box ownership and being unpublished for price uncompetitiveness.

In collaboration with customers, we're running experiments and rolling out frequent updates. So far so good, but there are some things you need to know about repricing on Walmart.

1. Competitive information is limited.

The only source of competitive pricing data is the Buy Box Report. This report is currently only updated by Walmart every 2 hours. Therefore, if you do not reprice aggressively enough and you're using a repricer, you will need to wait to re-claim the buy box.

We expect a real time pricing feed to be released in the near future and we'll be ready to implement it. At that point, we expect a full fledged race to your min price because of the following point.

2. Unpublished listings remain unpublished for 24-48 hours.

That's right, if your prices are deemed uncompetitive relative to other sellers, they will be unpublished. Once unpublished, you'll need to wait on the bench for up to 2 days to get back in the action. Even if you have adjusted your pricing to be highly competitive in the interim.

3. Your price on Amazon matters.

Well, not just your price but everyone's price on Amazon plays a roll in whether or not a product listing is available for sale on Walmart Marketplace. This means your repricer needs to understand pricing on the equivalent ASIN.

Summary

Due to near-term technical limitations and policy, competitive listings on Walmart are prone to prove extremely competitive. If you'd like to learn more about how our Walmart repricer works, visit our Knowledge Base.
